The Fire Safe Council is a non-profit organization here in Nevada County California working to help prevent catastrophic wildfire by providing educational opportunities, volunteer activities, resident services, and forest fuel reduction programs to County residents.  For complete information on our organization and what we do, see About Us.

As a non-profit agency, the Fire Safe Council depends upon residents of Nevada County to support these efforts with their expertise, time, and resources.  The Council is lead by a Board made of community volunteers, and operates under the California Open Meeting Law (the Brown Act).  Become a Fire Safe Council Member and Volunteer today.
