Archna sought residency in Nevada County over a decade ago, charmed by its magical landscape, innovative historical background, and eclectic educational resources. Or was it a calling from ole George Lord, her husband’s great-great-great grandfather who served as sheriff of Nevada County back in the 1880s? Married for 23 years and mother to four sons and a daughter, she home birthed, home schooled, and spent several years volunteering with local schools and nonprofit groups. Between family and work, she reads vigorously and writes fiction and poetry. After helping businesses organize their finances back on track, she brings a wealth of accounting knowledge to the FSCNC. In her first year at the FSCNC, she looks forward to supporting the finance team in contributing to fire safety and education throughout Nevada County.
